2021.12.07 11:25 Lov3I5Treacherous Need Advice
Hi, all -
I've recently moved barns to an area where my horses have attached paddocks to their stalls. They're right beside each other (I have 2 horses), and it's all I can afford in this location, is partial care. My older semi-retired mare absolutely loves it. Could not be more perfect for her.
My 5 year old gelding, though, is already bored. He has resorted to sticking his head through the fence slats to get to greener grass (as you can imagine, grass doesn't last long in their areas).
He has plenty of hay, but he's honestly bored and prefers grass. Can't blame him.
He's already rubbed 1/3 of his mane OFF from his fence shenanigans.
I've looked into physical mane protectors and they don't have great reviews. I also don't want him in a sleezy 24/7.
So, I need advice!
1) Any suggestions on keeping him from rubbing his mane out even further? I'm going to talk to the owners about running chicken fencing or a hot wire along the bottom of the fencing where's he's getting his neck through.
2) Any links to toys or play things to help with his boredom? We're in an off season so I haven't been riding him as much, I wanted to give him a break, but we're about to get started with conditioning here shortly so he will have a job again.
Thanks! He's definitely the problem child.

2021.12.07 11:25 Raphipod If there could only be 5 Linux distros, which would it be for you?
I‘ve come to realize that if we want to make Linux more accessible to people around the world, we’ll have to - for better and worse - be less „diverse“ and fragmented.
I get that this is contradictory to the core ethics of Free Software. But just if that would be the case, which five would you choose?

2021.12.07 11:25 fp_admin Here’s a 10-step cheatsheet for building a postive/empowering mindset
A mindset is just habits of thought - all the habits you have to date have been trained throughout your life. You’ve internalised voices from the influences around you (from your family, friends, the media) since childhood. And you continue to train them because you’re always talking to yourself.
Here are ten different ideas which can be used to inspire more action towards your goals and create a more enjoyable experience in the process:
2021.12.07 11:25 Bandformer_Pborough Is this weird...?
Is it weird to like a facebook post of one of your facebook friends who you don't actually know and have never spoken to? I normally like other people's posts who I don't knoe if it's on a platform where I actually haven't added them. I don't know if it'd be strange to do that on facebook though with a friend I don't know.

2021.12.07 11:25 Nep_Com Lvling in Endwalker.
Hello, my fellow Warriors of Light(or Darkness). So I've started playing in Endwalker. And I realised that I got tired of Dark Knight. Don't take me wrong I still love him, but I wanted to try Paladin and complete MSQ with him(cause he is posterboy). Well, let's get to the point. What is the best way to grind first 1-50 lvls? Especially lvls 1-30.

2021.12.07 11:25 WoodyM56 So far so good! Day - 4️⃣
Nearing the end of day 4 for me so still very early days in terms of progression. I've been keeping busy mainly working and visiting family members more, this has made time go very quickly.
So I stated on my previous post a few things that I wanted to change in my life that I think would benefit me the most and one of these was keeping my laptop and phone devices out of my room and so far have been very successful doing so. This is a positive step as one of the main reasons I would relapse was having my phone with me and I would eventually scroll endlessly leading to dangerous paths. (Not good)
I'm a huge F1 fan and have been enjoying watching the races recently but the season is coming to an end next week so need to fill that time with other things. I play F1 2020 on my xbox which has also kept me very busy so all in an it's going well.
Thanks for reading and I will update in a few days, I hope you are all doing well. 😁

2021.12.07 11:25 Laryus Eternal state of mindfulness. The right way of living?
First of all I want to say that all my believes and "knowledge" about psychology comes from thinking/analysis of my own living experience so probably I'm wrong. I just want to share my thoughts and hopefully somebody with studies or knowledge can read it and answer. Thank you!
Right now I'm 20 years old and this past years I would say I've not been living "right". The way I would describe it, is a continuous state of negativity/imprisonment of the mind that doesn't let you live your life and consequently, you are never happy. It's nothing severe and I don't want to go into details but after years of living in this state, I have noticed one remarkable thing that I’m never able to understand.
It turns out that although being in this never ending state, there are a few moments that it goes away and I’m free!! I can also notice them immediately whenever they are happening. Since I described the other state, I’m going to describe this one as well: A disconnection of yourself from your wandering mind that lets you live the moment, and make a full connection/focus with the present. A moment full of life, lucidity and clarity. Now, how often this moments come and how much time they last are relatively random. However, I can tell that they are usually triggered (but not always) after doing activities such as practicing hobbies, training, even working or just anything I do that requires all my focus and don’t think of anything else than what I’m doing. Also, I don’t think it has anything to do with moods, because I know people that there are continuously living in this state, one of them is the past me. This leads to the next point and my conclusion.
No matter if you are happy or sad, angry or calmed, etc. Whenever your mind is in this state of fullness, you are automatically thinking and acting yourself with all of your capabilities without limitations and, maybe you will behave in ways that lead you to happiness or sadness, but at least you would be living your complete/true self. You will never achieve happiness if you are limited by your wandering mind.
Having said all this, is there any scientific basis behind it? Could the eternal mindful state of mind somehow be the key to happiness? If so, what habits or activities should we do to achieve it?
I hope you can understand everything I tried to express, and appreciate the sharing of my thoughts as well as I appreciate you reading them.

2021.12.07 11:25 Arthur_Leywin354 [22M] When would it be appropriate to tell my date that I have a vasectomy?
So I [22M] did not get a vasectomy yet, but when I doing a year or two, how long should I wait before telling my date ya ain't gonna have kids?
I don't know if telling her day 1 would be a good idea because I'm already implying we are going to have sex. I also don't want to wait until get accustomed to each other and then have to break up because of differing views.
TLDR: I'm [22M] and I'm asking when would you want your date to tell you they have a vasectomy?
